More than 80,000 CenterPoint Energy customers in the Houston area were without power following early Tuesday morning thunderstorms.

Most of the outages were reported in north Houston and northwest Houston, near Cypress. Entergy also reported an additional 10,000 power outages in Montgomery County Tuesday morning.
