I so enjoyed reading the story of Charles Joseph Smith in @thetonearm this morning. I'm a sucker for both outsider artists AND extreme technical prowess on an instrument, and seeing them combined in one completely delightful person is very rare indeed.

Look, I understand why a lot of people can't get into Half Japanese but they are really missing out. Their classic era in the late 80s and early 90s produced a lot of interesting and sometimes downright catchy music once you learn to love and accept Jad as a frontman.
