I’m 92% of the way through Outlaws of the Marsh. This part is loosely based on actual history, Song Jiang was one of the commanders sent to fight Fang La’s rebellion.
I can tell I’m getting close to the end. Some of the Chieftains have died. Being a Heavenly Spirit or an Earthly Fiend only means they make it to the oath in chapter 72, each has a destiny awaiting them.

I just need a name, a nickname, and a sentence or two about them.
I’m not using many Chinese names because my group will never remember them, so feel free to use any kind of name. Evocative nickname is the most important, that’s probably what players will remember.

Started placing cities on my Outlaws map. Need to start naming them.
The biggest city (provincial capital) in the east is going to be based a bit on Riddleport from Golarion, if I can’t think of a better name I might just use that.

Been working on my map for my Outlaws game. It’ll only be inspired by Outlaws of the Marsh, but a more traditional fantasy rpg setting.
Still need to add rivers and cities, but I’ve got the basic terrain done. Will probably divide it into four provinces, with the northern capital in the northeast bay.
I have a bunch of random “face” cards from Paizo from about a decade ago. Looks like I’ve got about 160 of them, more than enough to create 108 stars of destiny for my Outlaws game. They’ve been waiting for their time to shine!
Sometimes Outlaws of the Marsh feels long and a bit repetitive, certain patterns repeat. But then you come across a unique section that’s incredible.
Chapter 56, Shi Qian the Flea on a Drum’s theft of Xu Ning’s ancestral armor is fantastic and really should be a scene in a movie or anime.

Is it weird that reading Outlaws of the Marsh makes me want to run a Pendragon campaign? Or something like it. Having the adventurers collect heroes for the round table is pretty similar.
