A couple weeks ago I went for a wee walk to clear my mind, get a bit of fresh air and stretch my legs.
I ended up having a bit of photo fun comparing my autumnal-coloured trousers to the natural world around me.
Nothing matched.

When you are close enough to snow to please the eye, but not too close for it cause disruption…
Still chilly though. 🥶
Some autumnal scenes from a walk a few days ago I took to try and clear my mind.
Not had a walk for a wee while. Went for a wander today. I need to make it more regular again, I need the exercise.
Not many people out and about, but that meant I could practice a campfire song without being too self conscious.
I'd nearly got Crazy Moose memorised reliably by the end. Sometimes I got some words mixed up on certain lines.
A wee collage of images from my Kiltwalk training walk at the weekend.
Now looking forward to my big walk to raise money for Scouts Scotland.

On my walk last weekend I was gladdened to see the local youngsters have a decent sense of humour.
This is an off-road cycling track they’ve made through the woodland, by the way, in case it’s not obvious.
Had a very pleasant walk yesterday which took me into the woodland of Kinnoull Hill on the edge of Perth (the original in Scotland, UK).
On the return leg of my country walk yesterday I was walking along performing “Cecil” and there were butterflies fluttering along the path (rather appropriately). After I had finished and moved onto “Crocodile” aka “Crazy Elephant” I saw this butterfly and I slowly crept closer so I could get a closeup photo. An app made this gif from the stills.
I was SO still taking a photo of this orchid* that a hoverfly* photobombed it. The cheek!
Amusingly the location tag says it’s near the local B&Q DIY shop. 😆
(*I think, I’m not an expert.)
I do like a wander. It may be very familiar, but I love it.
So lucky to live here.
