Alas, the confetti never landed. In the nightly sky, particles of what never came to be gleamed, then vanished.

All the trimmings spread
over walls, and windows
I'm coming up for air

Apart we languish
though they glow
like fragments of nebulae
for me to find them.

When the weather is fine you come over to hang out with me, basking in the warm sunlight. It keeps me wondering:
Will we ever stand through a storm and dance in the rain?
