Hurrican Rifle v2 Prop [Live Progress Long Thread]
Project Status: In Progress Hi guys, Yiming here. For the past ~2 month I have been working on this original prop design during my free time. Mentin on mastodon suggested that I should post this on BlenderArtists. I have a bit more time today so I’ll update this project’s back log on here. I was mainly updating it on my blog and social media previously. So I’ll collect pictures and stuff and post them here as a more concentrated thread, and it allows for discussion. I have clarified the structure of this thing in my head now...
Overall issues:
- This doesn't handle the bending moment of the top section from in and out of screen direction. (Situation can be improved with longer screws)
- Front barrel installment felt a bit more complex
- aux blaster structure and pipe holder structure unclear
Further progress on the forebody and scopes
Problem is that the upper front section will still have the tendency to bend downwards, and I still think I need the nylon to be quite thick in a lot of regions (not accurately depicted on image)
