I’m interested in learning and listening, and am grateful for the folks who have challenged me on some previous problematic beliefs (and the ones I’m currently working through). I’m working through some of the biases and misunderstandings and doing the work of unlearning. Currently working through some essential reading in Indigeniety. I believe in punching up vs. Punching down, in calling others in and being called in, and that there are times I need to learn to sit down and listen to/amplify the voices of those who are affected by issues on which I have opinions.

On the fun side, I bake a lot, and plan on making a few thousand cookies over a week or so in December (follow me under the hashtag #BigBake2022 ). I have a purebred #BrownDog (by which I mean I have absolutely no idea of her breed, but it’s fun to guess!), and have recently gotten back into swimming and am working on endurance and speed this year. I also really love memes on research, baking, sewing, and sexuality/sexual health.
