There's much to learn from Ottawa County, Michigan's dalliance with a radical, right-wing government (the "convervative" term is a misnomer). The inability to attract good talent is one of them. Candidates for the county administrator position don't want their names known while they apply for the position.

The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners did not select a new administrator after the last two nationwide searches for candidates.
