Flume Canyon has been moved to GO status. Please evacuate immediately. When evacuating, take Flume Canyon Road. Do not delay leaving to gather any belongings or make any efforts to protect your home. An evacuation shelter has been established at Capitan High School. Please tune into 1490 AM for more information or visit Ruidoso-NM.gov or keep up-to-date here.

The South Fork Fire wildfire is moving east of HWY 48 south of Alto Cafe to Cree Meadows Drive. We are moving this area into a SET status

Residents and visitors that want to voluntarily evacuate can now seek shelter at Capitan High School. The Ruidoso Convention Center is not taking any more evacuations and those that are there will shelter-in-place should the status at the Convention Center change. Otherwise, please get prepared in the event the status moves to GO
