⭕#Cuba enfrenta una grave epidemia sanitaria por la circulación simultánea de #dengue, #chikungunya y #oropouche, agravada por la #CrisisEconómica y el colapso del sistema de salud.

⭕Miles de personas presentan fiebre alta, fuertes dolores articulares y secuelas que pueden durar meses, mientras hospitales carecen de medicamentos, insumos y capacidad diagnóstica.

⭕Ante la precariedad, la mayoría de los enfermos opta por automedicarse en casa, lo que provoca un subregistro de contagios y muertes, oficialmente cifradas en 47 pero cuestionadas por expertos y ciudadanos.

⭕La falta de médicos, los apagones, la acumulación de basura y la escasez de agua favorecen la proliferación de mosquitos, intensificando una epidemia que deja a comunidades enteras debilitadas y sin respuestas efectivas del Estado.

One-third of Cubans have contracted #mosquito-borne diseases this year, according to the Cuban Ministry of #PublicHealth: #dengue, #oropouche and #chikungunya. With over 42,000 cases reported across the country since July 2025, chikungunya was declared an epidemic in early November. 44 deaths from dengue and chikungunya have been reported, 29 of them children. The #health system is struggling against an outbreak that has spread due to a lack of resources.

“This arbovirus wave is not happening in a vacuum. It arrives at a moment of severe economic strangulation," says Dr. Samira Addrey... #US sanctions cause billions of dollars in losses annually, depriving the health sector of fuel for ambulances and fumigation, reagents for diagnostics, and raw materials for #medicine.
