Happy Halloween! And last day of Orktober. I’m certainly not done with my Third Edition 40k Space Ork army but definitely wanted to get a certain project done. And that’s these old Warbuggies. I got them used a long time ago and never even bothered to paint them up because the scale of the crew was off and it bugged me. They’re tiny, even by Rogue Trader standards. So I decided to kitbash ‘em up and make something I’d love to field.

Removed the old driver and the crew. Replaced the driver with the Ork Trukk driver and the crew that was once firing the weapon with just a boy along for the ride. The weapon I’ve remove the hand grips and statically mounted and pinned in a more secure location. And one was missing the radiator from the back so I bashed one up using leftover Dakkajet bits.

Each Warbuggy got their own unique heads and crew position along with paint job! Can’t wait to field these and throw down some templates from their Skorchas before they get blown to bits for having 10 armor.

Only two days left of Orktober and I got a couple neat things left!

Today I have my (mostly) original old metal Ork Kommandos that finally have some paint on ‘em! One Nob, eight boyz, then I never got around to getting the old Kommandos Burna Boy so I’m using the one from the new Kill Team! Which is still pretty cool.

It is #orktober , so here is my Squidmar Orc Shaman. It's the third miniature where I tried the oil paint wash-and-rub-off technique, and I think it came out decent enough.

(the first one was a desaster where the oil paint somehow bonded with the paint layer below and everything rubbed off, the second went better, and here I think I got the gradients at least ok looking.

Correction: I got my wires crossed, I have played against this guy before. It was the Rebel Grot guy! He was trying out a stompa today, and graciously forewarned me. This made for a much closer game, but I still claimed an #orktober victory.

Only week left in Orktober I’m trying to wrap up as much as possible! Sped through these third edition Warbiker Boyz a bit, complete repaints of some of my old bikes as well as some I acquired off a buddy getting rid of some ork units.

But I spent a little bit more time on the Nob! Kitbashed up using a sprue from the older Combat Patrol box Nob, he’s ready with his Power Klaw, Slugga, and ‘Eavy Armor +Bike +Bionic Bonce getting him a 2+ armor save! (Technically 3+ plus 1 but that only matters if the weapon is AP3 or better.)
