Our aims for the meeting: keep building our network; work towards strategic alignment; establish working groups for concrete actions (AI-free zones, workplace organizing, art installations, ...).

this piece reminds me of our own senior park during the beginning of COVID. we all got a letter from property management giving us a coercive choice: either pay rent (we all own our homes yet pay rent on the land it sits on) at an exorbitant price or agree on 25yr lease terms.

we olds mostly live on fixed incomes so they had us by the…plus we were so scared at rage beginning of the pandemic knowing our generation had a higher rate of death. we got together & emailed our local newspaper bringing a photographer/reporter crew to interview us.

our story ran on the front page of our local newspaper bringing an end to this coercive control by the property management company.

ableism for sure played a part in this but we olds were badass organizers having no legal representation or organizing background.

The drizzle on my windshield this morning had the same flat patience as everything this administration does—not dramatic, just relentless, wearing the glass down one bead at a time. They are counting on exhaustion. We are going to have to be the kind of stubborn that outlasts a siege.

Twenty-five billion dollars. One hundred seventy-four civilians dead in unclassified maritime strikes. Zero congressional votes authorizing the war. And the dementia-addled despot called it a "little detour."

When the past chairman of the Republican National Committee files an op-ed calling the sitting president's war possible war crimes with zero legitimate oversight, you are not reading partisan screed. You are reading a smoke alarm.

The land is keeping score. It always has. It has started handing out the bill.

Bei »gewerkschaftlicher Erneuerung« in diesem Verständnis geht es nicht nur um eine Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen für einzelne Belegschaften: Die Arbeiterklasse wird darüber hinaus als eine potenzielle politische Macht im Kampf für eine bessere Gesellschaft gesehen, die jedoch organisiert werden muss. Verschiedene Initiativen, die dieses Verständnis mehr oder weniger teilen, kamen Ende Januar in Belgrad zusammen. There's a pretty neat app called #Finch that does #gamification for #taskManagement / #organizing / #selfcare stuff.

It helps me keep track of what I should be posting when and where and reminds me of some of the things I need to do. All while sharing #todo items with people.
