An EXCELLENT article about the #Ordinariate. Any #Catholic can join one of their parishes. My husband and I have been with one for a couple years now, and we've also been to Mount Calvary shown here. Photo does not do it justice. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/258645/what-is-the-ordinariate-of-the-chair-of-st-peter-and-why-is-it-flourishing
What is the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter and why is it flourishing?

Despite the rapidly secularizing culture in the U.S., many of the ordinariate’s parishes, known for their reverent liturgies and respect for tradition, are flourishing.

O GOD, who in the foreknowledge of thy Son's most precious death didst consecrate for him a dwelling-place by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary: mercifully grant that she who was preserved from all defilement, may evermore pray for us, until we attain unto thee in purity of heart; through the same Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, etc.

Um, no. The Vatican rebuke is not a "snub," because there's a significant difference between dialogue and schism...which is a line that y'all have crossed, #GermanBishops, and not just by a tiptoe. We already have #Ordinariate clergy who are worried about potential doctrinal change; why are you working so hard to make their worries into a reality via your so-called #SynodalWay? Just be honest and admit you're no longer in communion with Rome. The #CatholicChurch, as one commenter points out, is not a democracy. #2023Synod #Vatican https://www.ncregister.com/cna/did-the-vatican-snub-german-bishops-over-synodal-way
Did the Vatican ‘Snub’ German Bishops Over Synodal Way?

Bishop Stefan Oster of Passau was one of the first bishops to speak out after the visit to Rome.

Hey, Fr Josh! Great to find you here! I'll have to listen to your homily and see how you solved the crisis of bad preaching. My pastor is a Texan, too...

Homily for the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time | November 13th, 2022 | Fr. Josh Whitfield

Listen to this episode from St. Rita Dallas Catholic Church Homilies on Spotify. Luke 21:5-19 While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, Jesus said, "All that you see here-- the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down." Then they asked him, "Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?"  He answered, "See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and 'The time has come.' Do not follow them!  When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end."  Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky. "Before all this happens, however, they will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name.  It will lead to your giving testimony.  Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute.  You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death.  You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives."

Do you have a 1928 translation, too for an #Ordinariate member? *sigh* Such a beautiful prayer! Thank you 🌹

Glory be to God on high! Catherine, you sing the song of my people! I'm a member of a community in the #Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter. It seems that I'm the only #Carmelite on Mastodon, but I hope that can change some day. In the meantime... we acknowledge and bewail our manifold sins and wickedness, right? Peace be with you!
