Paradiso Indiestad presents: The Itch + Tourist Trap

Toekomstmuziek, Tuesday, May 26 at 07:30 PM GMT+2

Location: Main Stage Toekomstmuziek, Danzigerbocht 29, Amsterdam
Entrance: Tickets

The Itch // @theitch_music

As creators of incredibly catchy songs, The Itch could hardly have chosen a better name. Simon Tyrie and Georgia Hardy combine vibrant art-pop with ironic, self-aware lyrics, crafting sarcastic floorfillers that get right under your skin. Their debut album, 'It's The Hope That Kills You,' doesn't just demand attention; it demands it.

The Luton duo met at an open mic night and have been friends since high school. They played together in various bands, DJed, and organized club nights. They recently formed two-thirds of the acclaimed post-punk band Regressive Left. Feeling constrained by that band's rigid creative parameters, they formed The Itch as a vehicle for unfettered self-expression, using dance punk, electroclash, and epic 80s pop productions as a starting point for formal experimentation.
