@vermaden It was probably three or four months ago that I tried the new version of #OpenIndiana on a spare laptop.

It....works, but compared to any current #Linux distro it was slow and the package selection was slim. It reminded me of desktop Linux from 2007. I used an older HP Elitebook with a Core i7 and 8 GB RAM, circa 2015.

OpenSolaris/Illumos seems to be most active on the server side.

Uefi only machine + uefiseven + csmwrap + OI = nice. Only 1024x768, but uefiseven scales it to the full screen.

Unfollowed the Hashtag #ZFS for now.

I do not want to hear your mimimi about Linux 7.0 lacking support for ZFS.
Maybe you read the TOS first?
Or use an OS, that is made for this like #OpenIndiana or #OmniOS.

Or just using an LTS Kernel?

Or just waiting until the work is done to support it?

ZFS is not bad, just because you want to use cutting edge bleeding Software.
It is just stable...

I'm looking at Repology, and I think most of the distributions and other downstreams have rightfully boycotted #Python #chardet #copywashing. Of course, there's the possibility that some of them are simply out-of-date, though.

So far chardet-7 is distributed by #Chromebrew, #CondaForge (not on Repology), #Homebrew, #KaOS, #OpenIndiana, #openmamba, #Ravenports, #Spack and #T2 SDE. Shame on you!
