I've finally gotten my #OpenKM to a point where I'm comfortable writing about it.

I'll give you three guesses what's going on in the world that has made me pick up on my digital archival projects: My android @internetarchive scanner, my Firefox cache organizer and my OpenKM archival instance.

Hopefully I'm not too little too late, as I've been putting off these projects for years.

Once I spend a week or two with a "fully-configured" #InvenioRDM, I'll do the same with the #OpenKM instance I set up.

The process is, generally:

- Ingest all of my digital #TTRPG content
- Tag as much as possible
- Try doing some "realistic" research for a campaign

I _might_ take another swipe at Archivematica, we'll see.

BAM! I got #InvenioRDM working. Thank you, CERN, for making this available to everyone free of charge.

It's. . .slightly more involved to get this working than #OpenKM, but it's a _lot_ more powerful.

I also go Archivematica running but. . .well I can't figure out how to use it. 😅

I look forward to trying all three in the coming weeks as I decide what's the best way to organize my #TTRPG digital materiel.

Initial blog post. . .soon?

I also want to build an #OpenKM ingestor tool that lets me pload a bunch of files with a manifest, and have it auto-tag/comment the files based on the manifest.

When your hobbies get a huge boost from your day job:

I'm definitely going to have to do a blog writeup on the process of archiving, sorting, and tagging(!) all of my digital #TTRPG content.

If I finish this before the end of the year, I'll be impressed.

After this: I'm going to scan all my physical media and get that added (assuming I don't have a digital copy of the book in question.

#DigitalArchival #openKM

Okay, so, I've settled on #OpenKM (for now, until I get a look at CERN's thing and figure out why it doesn't work).

Observations:

Mobile web is completely broken:

Desktop mode, you can't make new folders because, for some reason, you go to the "next field" when you hit enter for the new name, and that takes you to a completely unrelated field.

Mobile view has almost zero functionality

Interface is arcane.

But it's good! It's a solid "not bad", anyway.
