Any mac nerds wanna help with a weird one?

I've got an A1466 running 26.1, everything works except for mirroring (no t2) and apple intelligence (no neural engine) and the wifi(???)

So obviously I'm trying to get the wifi working, since it'd be a snowball's chance in hell for the other things to work.

IDK literally anything about macOS under the hood except that its darwin which is (kind of) a BSD, so I'm like way out of my depths here.

Plstohalpthx!!

Most plugin systems start clean — until modules quietly depend on each other & the architecture collapses. @svenruppert shows how to enforce extension boundaries with #Java, #Vaadin & ServiceLoader.

I just booted an older Mac running Sequoia via #opencore and by comparison I was reminded just how bad Liquid Glass is.

I already disliked the flat, no-affordance path #apple had taken, but #LiquidGlass is a leap in the wrong direction. It’s not even form over function. Even the form is unappealing.

Still hardcoding “enterprise vs community” logic directly into your app? That usually turns extensions into technical debt fast. @svenruppert shows how to build a real #OpenCore architecture with pure #Java, #Vaadin & ServiceLoader:

Viele Plugin-Architekturen starten sauber — und enden später in wilden Modul-Abhängigkeiten. Genau dort wird #OpenCore schnell zum Problem.

@agowa338 @kaidenshi Yes, also self-hosted #gitlab promotes GitLab Duo. And GitLab is #opencore, so certain features won't be implemented in the open source version (an pull-requests won't be merged) if GitLab Inc. wants to reserve those to users of the proprietary version.

Gitlab Act 2 includes 10 core beliefs : none of them even mentions Open Source or free software. "Agent" is mentionned 34 times. Is that a farewell from GL to the opensource community that is at the core of its inception, spirit, platform, culture and clients ?

I also wonder if they will review completely the famous GitLab handbook, since the new organization seems far from original processes and values.

I'm in a the middle of an intense session of system admin for @silex little community

Since #mattermost #opencore model got in our way (less and less little this community) => I think we'll ditch it and switch everything to the forums

So I'm investing time in upgrading from an ooold docker image to latest #Flarum and making it better at onboarding, detecting spam with n8n, looking silexy, ...

I pause and.. Wow Flarum is a great platform !!!
