What are the intractable challenges in the future of crowdsourcing in cultural heritage? @sam @meghaninmotion and I proposed:
* Staffing projects is difficult
* Values are maintenance work, too
* Innovation can be harmful when it is not necessary
* Sustainability is a challenge, especially when coupled with innovation requirements
* Innovation can stall if a monopoly of platforms exists
* Who gets to frame the field, and who is left out?
* Too many best practices create overhead to getting started
* People who think 'AI / Mechanical Turk can solve everything'
