Turns out hosting a Jellyfin instance on a phone with linux mobile is as straightforward as on a desktop!
If it had more storage, it would even be better than my current desktop server (good enough specs, takes up less space, lower power consumption)
How’s the upstreaming using the Linux next branch going?
👷 Rebasing and testing patches is going great! We’ve got the basic functionality working on #OnePlus6 and #OnePlus6T (though it’s still unstable).
👀 Many patches have been sent upstream for maintainer review.
❗Some patches in the -next tree are still causing trouble.
📈 But bisecting is pretty efficient now, so we’ve already reported the issues we’ve found in -next to the devs.

Here's the rubbish photo I took to test the camera app in postmarketOS running on a OnePlus 6T. The hardware is definitely capable of better. Reminded me of the early days of analogue colour photography. Not to be mean about PMOS, as I expect that in time it will get much better, although perhaps too slowly to be much use to this old phone.
On the upside, logging on to Mastodon via Firefox has been as easy as it should be.
