This past week #CARMA pilot 2 was conducted in Paris at the facilities of our Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) colleagues.
Our team has been assigned to safety detail, making sure that everyone knows what is going on and no one crosses into harm's way.

The 1st pilot is now in the books. A week full of robots, discussions and practice with the 3 main UGV platforms of the #CARMA project. The most difficult task for both the technical and the first-responder teams is to envision how these prototypes of technologies and procedures can become the new standard for future emergency response and SAR operations.
Next stop: Paris, in just a few days.

This week the CARMA EC Project team is in Madrid, conducting the Pilot 1 trials with the three main UGVs: A high-mobility, a highly-adaptive and a heavy-duty platform, plus the C2 operations C&C management system and communications. This is the first time all the individual technologies combine and work together in the field, including the customized networking solution for them.
