The 1st pilot is now in the books. A week full of robots, discussions and practice with the 3 main UGV platforms of the #CARMA project. The most difficult task for both the technical and the first-responder teams is to envision how these prototypes of technologies and procedures can become the new standard for future emergency response and SAR operations.
Next stop: Paris, in just a few days.

This week the CARMA EC Project team is in Madrid, conducting the Pilot 1 trials with the three main UGVs: A high-mobility, a highly-adaptive and a heavy-duty platform, plus the C2 operations C&C management system and communications. This is the first time all the individual technologies combine and work together in the field, including the customized networking solution for them.
