Aliás, ainda sobre o papo dos outliners e da "perda de embalo" nos conteúdos sobre #Linux no desktop: isso não começou por acaso. Eu estava dando uma olhada em alguns nomes consagrados de aplicativos para #macOS, uma plataforma que não utilizo e, a partir do #OmniOutliner, decidi fazer um rápido passeio.

Acabei descobrindo ainda que o Nisus Writer está abandonado desde o final de 2024 e que o autor provavelmente já está com mais de 80 anos de idade, bem como que a empresa já não parece estar mais operando.

O que me leva para outro ponto: o desktop deu uma esfriada no geral. O #Windows esfriou: qual foi o último grande aplicativo? Talvez o pacote da #Affinity, originalmente pensado para Macintosh, e hoje de propriedade da mesma empresa que desenvolve o Canva?

Se, por um lado, o Linux no desktop ficou mais viável graças à perda de hegemonia do Windows e o crescimento de SaaS oferecidos via Web, por outro, também me parece que ela tem afetado não apenas o Windows, mas desktops como um todo.

Eu acredito que vivemos um momento de hibridismo no desktop, contudo, ainda não sei se estou plenamente confortável com ele (não que eu tenha escolha), mesmo sabendo ponderar os prós e contras.

I haven't jumped on the #Obsidian or #Notion bandwagon. I write in #BBEdit, #OmniOutliner, Apple Notes, #nvUltra and #1Writer. Each has its use. I link all the information with Hookmark. Hookmark's linking is much more general than Obsidian's

@angusm @hookmark We at CogSci Apps have made a feature request for some AppleScript that will enable us to get an Omni Link to the current resource, so that Hookmark can give users the choice between `hook://file/` URLs and OmniOutliner:/// URLs for OmniGraffle and OmniOutliner.

Just love how @curioustommy keeps working on #Darling. If some day I could run #OmniOutliner 3 on my Linux machines I‘d give a party where eveyone had to show up wearing a turtleneck sweater and we‘d eat carrots all the time.

So, I am starting to use #OmniOutliner again after several years off. I REALLY like it as a planning tool. One thing that would make it really nice is:
