I’m starting Oliver Burkeman’s Meditations for Mortals again. It’s 4 weeks of a daily reading. Last time, whenever I missed a day, I chastised myself until I gave up. This time my plan is to allow myself to miss a day or 17, and then resume. From what I remember and from re-reading the first day, it’s right up my alley. I believe it will help me to be more accepting. I plan to share some quotes and thoughts, with hashtags so you can mute me on #PeterOnBurkeman if you want to.

Ik las ooit met mijn teams een boek over hoe je ons type werk beter kan doen. Een van de mantra’s die steeds terugkwam was: hope is not a strategy.

Je kan niet hopen dat je niet gehackt wordt of dat de systemen het allemaal wel uithouden of dat klanten wel zullen snappen wat je bedoelt.
