That's #TheNovemberMan (2014) watched and cleared out of the TiVo.

It's good to know of another #OlgaKurylenko movie; & back then I would have enjoyed it, despite it clearly being a Cold War anachronism.

I read about it afterwards. It turns out that it has been seen as a competitor to Bond. Like Bond, it was based upon a novel written in the 20th century (1987), which explains the Cold War aspects.

They were updated with 21st century technology, but not with 21st century geopolitics/#infosec.

In 2026, the ideas that the President of the Russian Federation would be embarrassed at such things, that the CIA would be angling to boost NATO, and that 'intelligence' people just believe whatever documents/images are sent to them via e-mail or given to them on a random USB memory stick; seem naïve at best.

We'd have been cottoning on to the first in 2014, about to a couple of years later for the second. But the movie industry faked the third for props in this very movie.
