It won't fool my generation, nor this lad who is genuinely into old #British motors but this stuff is becoming rampant (it particularly seems to target old #BritishLeyland #cars (presumably as #SAIC isn't going to set lawyers on them, but it means real folk with their classics are having their content stolen to make this bullshit..)

At least #WeirdCarMastodon remains trustworthy..

This may not be widely known unless you take an interest in #cars /and/ collect ancient books about #oldtimers - but in early 20th century there *were* cars with brake and accelerator positions swapped round - for stick shift clutch was always on the only due to the physical location of the engine but the locations of various gears also varied wildly (whereas today its generally only reverse which may be in different location).

I'm not sure if UN traffic safety guidelines mandate order of brake and accelerator pedals which I believe standardised around 1930s/1940s , but any automaker diverting from this would be *extremely* unpopular and become a pariah.

And yet, as @mhoye points out, this is tolerated in computer software UI (and now even in non-safety critical parts of vehicles)

Got an old #Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 #tablet I was gifted by a relative a few years back (he upgraded to a newer one).

I use it mostly to read #PDF documents of scanned #books about #oldtimers , #mechanic work and #electronics (so these are quite big PDF files).

Normal #AdobeReader is laggy on this old device, and I don't need the #AI bullshit bundled with it.

Can anyone suggest a better PDF reader for Android with 0 ads, decent privacy and good performance?
