There's quite a bit of sand, so that rules out Portsmouth. So I'm thinking possibly Hayling Island? Or they might be on holiday elsewhere.

#ThrowbackThursday - Dad used to cycle from Portsmouth around south Hampshire, sometimes covering 50 or so miles in a day.

Here he is at - I estimate - 16, taking his bike out for an epic ride. This would make the photo c1958.
