I’ve now posted on my blog about the Community Information Network from a couple of weeks ago.

Thank you again for everyone who reached out to me for tips, information and even just boosting the post.
I am hoping to post again soon, this time detailing my Internet journey since first going online. Might be another memory trip for some people for some of the ISPs that no longer exist :)
Didn't realise that Hype Machine turns 20 this week. They shared this clip in their newsletter and watching it a moment ago almost made me crumble into dust.
Alguien recuerda el Imesh??????
Is there a new drama on SpaceHey that I missed? I rarely open SpaceHey lately.

The early web was a wild, experimental playground. Hand-coded personal websites, bizarre niche forums, and communities driven by passion instead of profit. GeoCities pages, webrings, and weird Flash experiments made the internet feel like an uncharted frontier, where creativity thrived and users had real control.
Now, it's a sanitized, ad-driven wasteland. Social media giants dictate what we see, algorithms push engagement over exploration, and independent sites struggle to survive against walled gardens. The dream of a free and open internet has been swallowed by a handful of companies, turning the once-decentralized web into a corporate-controlled echo chamber.
The open web isn’t dead. It's just buried beneath algorithms and ads. Dig deeper.
