Sounds crazy right? Because it is. So, TIL about Zone Zero and the five foot rule. It turns out the facts are exactly the opposite of what the old smart hams were talking about - you must keep at least 5 feet clear of vegetation. You will likely not get home insurance unless you attest to this. I did learn something, so thanks old hams!
Of course, this conversation was mainly focused on bitching about the 'libs' by calling out things about (majority) Democratic states that Fux Nooz told them.

Turns out younger Australians are cutting back on the booze, while the older age brackets are quietly doubling down. According to the ABC, overall drinking is down but older Australians are taking bigger health risks with alcohol.
You know the type. We’ve lived longer, seen it all, know everything, and are therefore completely confident we can ignore the health advice. Again. After all, if it hasn’t killed us yet, it clearly never will.
