There is a funny thing about tech rival #CEO's in #SocialMedia I have noticed over the 23+ years I have lived in #SiliconValley:

¹ Passive agressiveness in #MARCOM strategy going back decades about rival #SocialMedia services.

² #CEO's Not having _active_ accounts that are used as an outlet due to №¹, №³, №⁴, №⁵ & №⁵ points.

³ Not being able to afford a #SocialMediaManager for said accounts because a #Oligarch can't be bothered to acknowledge, let alone _use_, a deeply passive aggressive based #SocialMedia rivals' service due to #ZeroTrust of a rivals apps and/or web site. ☣️

⁴ #Legal at said ☣️ #SocialMedia
☣️ places frowning on yet another thing to approve for the bosss' comms strategy.

⁵ 🔪☣️ #infosec ☣️🔪at said #SocialMedia companies that don't trust the others' apps enough to even have an active account on a rivals service.

⁶ #Purging rivals #OldAccounts bringing this back into the #news cycle as a #TalkingPoint 😂

Turns out I had an old Mastodon account on mastodon.gamedev.place, created back in 2017! I've set it to move to this account.

I was honestly a little torn about which instance to call my home, but in the end the decision was simple: stick to the account where I've actually been posting. 😁

The other day, a friends told me, "Hey, I didn't know you were on SnapChat! I sent you a follow request (or its Snap equivalent)."

Me: ​ "Say, what?"

So she went on to show me my phone number on Snap .

Then I remembered that when I was much younger (and stupider), I'd created this account on Snap to try it out. I''d anyway hated it, and hence, uninstalled it.

Snapchat is something I definitely don't want to associate myself with.
You know how it is when the demons of your past come back to haunt you! 😉

So, take some time to remember and jot down all the websites, services, and apps you had ever registered with and don't use now, and then delete those accounts.

DELETE NOT UNINSTALL!!!

By the way, Snap says it will keep my account deletion in "hold" for 30 days, in case I wish to come back to reactivate it. 😐
