As someone who grew up in Hawaii, I'm finding Okitsura really fascinating. A lot of local Japanese families can trace their ancestry to Okinawa so i think a lot of what I know of as Japanese culture is actually Okinawan probably? So a lot of the anime feels quite familiar to me.

Though I don't remember andagi being that big  

It's fun seeing the similarities between cultures though, and I wonder if "horohoro" (the Okinawan word for taking a short trip) is a borrowed word because "holoholo" means the same thing in Hawaiian.
