The fire has been lined and control operations have been ongoing, continued mop up and patrol, and some light potential firing on control lines. Smoke may be visible today or over the next couple of days due to this per incident command.

The Kinkaid Fire is 4.5 miles north of Owhi Lake. Fire camp was established in Keller and transitioned command at 0600 today to allow for MTFC teams to get much needed respite. The IMT and MTFC will continue to collaborate throughout the duration of this incident.
Today: The focus of today is to minimize exposure and impact to natural resources including tribal timberlands, cultural sites, while conducting fire suppression activities. Fire crews will be working on minimizing fire spread and targeting hot spots. In hard to reach areas air support may be utilized to assist ground crews. The goal is to minimize cost and resource damage while keeping the fire in the smallest footprint possible.

Apple Acres Fire is active on the north side of Arbuckle Mountain, approximately one mile north of Wells Dam. The fire is moving north per Okanogan County Emergency Management.
Level 2 (Be Ready) is being issue for the persons north of Wells Dam to State Route 153, Alta Lake east to State Route 97.
Emergency Management will be monitoring the situation and will update as needed.
State Route 97 is OPEN with pilot car single lane travel.

APPLE ACRES ROAD: Antoine Creek, from Apple Acres Road to Quiet Valley Road in Okanogan County, is on a Level 2 evacuation notice.

Hwy 97 is closed from Apple Acres Road near Chelan to the Chelan County line (just past Wells Dam). In addition, Hwy. 153 southbound is closed. Motorists should find alternate routes.
