Herbie Popnecker aka The Fat Fury
Ogden Whitney (1919-1975) #BOTD
American comic-book artist/writer active from the 1930s-1960s. Best known as co-creator of the aviator hero Skyman and of the super-powered cult character Herbie Popnecker and his alter ego, the Fat Fury. Whitney had long runs on the ACG anthology titles and at #Marvel the Two-Gun Kid and Millie the Model. In 2007, Whitney was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame.
