Still having a blast learning ODIN. In the last month I have discovered these features
- User Formatters
- How to work with threads
- Channels (Very similar to Go's Channels)
- Debugging using GDB
- Iterators

These features are documented compete with examples inside of ODIN's source code.

The OLS has been a great way to discover features that ODIN has.

I always look for a hobby language that is not related to what I do at work (C#).

out of all languages that promise to be better C, I think zig is the only one that lives to the hype, Rust is good, but it's too complicated to be a better C, it's more of a better C++, I would try odin, and c3 in the future, but for now zig is the best one so far.

The Odin systems programming language shipped its dev-2026-06 monthly build, adding an @(fast_math) procedure attribute, the ** expand-values operator, and new post-quantum packages for ML-KEM (FIPS 203) and ML-DSA (FIPS 204) in the standard library, plus AArch64 assembly support in foreign imports. Odin has shipped a release every month through the first half of 2026. What would it take for you to pick Odin over C or Zig?
