Anyone remember #OccupyWallstreet? Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL)?

The #US populace is as pathetic as #Russia. There is no resistance against the tyrant.

#EU should apprehend Trump to restore world order (even China and Russia would play that game!)

@SaanichGuy

Remember #OccupyWallStreet?

One of the branches of that US-based resistance/resilience action was about financial literacy. And one thing they talked about **a lot** was Credit Unions.

For example, my CU accounts do not have fees at all, though I do need to keep a positive balance. The ABMs do not charge fees, and I do not get a ding for using a bank's ABM (from my CU; the bank dings me.)

I do not pay for Interac transfers, either.

Members of the CU ordered this.

TWITTER EMBRACED OEMBED EARLY BUT NOT COMPLETELY. i think that by 2009-2010 we were already seeing embedded videos and thumbnails of articles but, curiously, not tweets.

i spent the whole year of 2011 ―the year of #ArabSpring #Syntagma #Acampadas #Walkerville #Bloombergville and #OccupyWallStreet― writing many a QT on tweets where i was translating quotes from many EU sources still somewhat geoblocked in USA, especially BBC News, El País, L’Express and Al-Jazeera… 🧵

Three people at Occupy Wall Street taking a break from the noise, trading stories, and reading up on revolution. After Zuccotti Park was cleared, some protesters regrouped at Collect Pond Park. The crowd had thinned, but the spirit was still alive.

#Capitalism makes fully moral behaviour impossible; the markets will lead us to extinction. On #ThisDayInHistory in 2011, the #OccupyWallStreet movement began. It should never have ended. Here is a clip of #DavidGraeber, one of the early voices of #Occupy. #WeAreThe99Percent #IWW
