I am looking for real-life examples from newspapers, reports, etc. of companies that commited labor abuses or environmental violations (e.g. EPA/OSHA but also in other countries), but nothing happened to them because either they were the major local employer/there were few employment alternatives nearby, or there was no effective enforcement of penalties. @SockDiva is getting grief from her employer for wearing a #beanie on her head in #Winter while working from home.

She’s been told it’s against the company dress code & she shouldn’t abuse her working from home privileges.

She has no face to face with customers & is only seen by her employers during video meetings.

I’ve told her it’s within her #OccupationalHealthAndSafety rights to wear warm headgear in Winter. Fuck ‘em!
