Now all is needed is a distribution that would demonstrate how all this can practically work, like #Obarun and #66

I am willing to bet that #Void having lost excitement in #runit will jump on this, or someone will create a fork for it. Since #void has maintained the s6 stack for some time now, it would be a short step away.

Then again, having s6-frontend enable elogind is a bit of a defeat, like an ex-alcoholic taking a sip of rum .. fixated at getting gnome and plasma crap running for "customers".

Installed #Slackware last night. Quietly impressed. A lot easier than the last time.
Reason for trying? Fed up with #obarun (#arch) breaking after update.
Also going to checkout #artix, & yes I know it's arch based! But it also uses #S6 as #init, which is what I'm interested in.

I can recommend #obarun Linux with the s6 init system & #plan9 for something a little more challenging/different

@omnipotens
🤣🤪 I've used Arch Linux, didn't brag about. I don't now.
Although looking at #obarun because of S6 init looks very interesting.
@Proto
#mxlinux
#calculatelinux /#gentoo
#obarun
& my own in development
@Ajz @Haydar I hadn't heard of that one, thanks! Sounds like Obarun is going for super minimal.
#arch #artix #obarun
