Played some #OakAndIron today and it was grand. The FLGS near my folks’ place has a great community and a lovely owner who’s a real fan of Fitelock’s games, especially O&I. I was French attacking pirates and eked out a silly victory.
My opponents were great fun and great sports. #minis are so fun.
The “Adventure” galley-frigate of Captain Kidd is painted up! Excited to play this on the table; it has a special rule for “improved sweeps” that is new to the game and should really change mobility.
The xebec is based and ready to play with! Of course, I have named it Le Requin.
It’s from Minairons, which I have just learned has sadly closed their doors. I’ll raise a glass to them and wish them well!
