Met up with #radioamateurs from #OZ7SAC club station at ‘Busbjerg’, a new POTA site in OZ (Denmark), DK-0214.

Brought my IC-7000 along with a ‘flowerpot’ antenna for 6m and a brand new #greencell LiFePO4 battery.

A heavy backpack, but only a short hike (and 60m ascent 🥵) from the nearby parking lot.

As it turned out, 6m was dead, at last seen from my end, so no QSOs this time.

My friends had more luck with 20m and 2m 👍🏼

I’m donating this BM829s to the local #hamradio club tomorrow. The ones we have there are old, worn, and with limited functionality and specifications.
Most are analogue, which can be fine if you know the pitfalls and how to use them correctly, but many really don’t.. The single digital we have, well, had (of an unknown brand), literally fell apart last week 🤷🏼‍♂️
This is an expensive, and very capable, instrument but I have enough #DMM’s in my lab.. And I must admit I made the wrong decision getting this one, I hardly ever seem to use it.
Better to put it somewhere, where ppl will use it and appreciate it ☺️
So #OZ7SAC #hamr club station gets its #xmas present 🎁 tomorrow 🎅🏼 🎄😃
