@cryptica @davidoclubb i daily drive a google pixel 3a with #postmarketos and everything functions (calls, sms, wifi, gps etc) except the camera is crap (selfie cam is crap, but has autofocus, back cam is crap without autofocus;)). however, the limited RAM (3GB) is sometimes annoying (especially when using gnome maps). as far as i know, the #OP6T still has this annoying bug with calling. i do not know about the #op6 though.

- transferts via MTP: nouveau, et ok.

- ce qui fonctionne à peu près: caméra (couleurs un peu bizarres et pas de mise au point, et sur la selfie, noir et blanc, et pas de mise au point). Mais ok pour lire des QR codes.
- Pour utiliser Signal, l'appli Flare fonctionne, mais uniquement pour les messages écrits (pas d'appels)

- ce qui merde encore: le micro et les écouteurs, ça a eu marché, mais ça ne marche plus en ce moment. Donc pas d'appels pour le moment.

Juste un petit post pour ceux qui seraient intéressés par PostmarketOS, la distribution linux pour téléphones mobiles. Je la teste sur un OnePlus6 acheté sur le bon coin, et je vais essayer de partager ici mon retour d'expérience.

Config: OP6 avec installation de la release edge du 29 janvier, et toutes les mises à jour consécutives, 1 carte SIM dans le téléphone, mais sur un abonnement plus valable.

Ce qui fonctionne:
- wifi, blutooth, Firefox, GPS

@janvlug just copied the `.config` and `.cache` folders of #confy install on my laptop to my #librem5 and #op6 with all my starred talks for #FOSDEM and it just worked.
All starred talks are on both phones.

Another Tuesday night another 20 something KM in #lisbon :) This time to the city limits in the north and then on to the east part of the city.

This time I had two gps. The one on the #oneplus6 with #mobian, and the one on my #librem5. Side by side comparison in the screenshots.
Librem 5 is red color and #Op6 blue. While it mostly matched the tracks registered a difference of 2KM for the length of the trip.

J'ai eu du mal à faire fonctionner l'autocompletion sur le clavier virtuel sous PostmarketOS edge. J'ai finalement trouvé avec l'aide de la communauté, qu'il faut installer les deux fichier hunspell-en-us et hunspell-fr. Je n'avais pas mis le premier, mais sans lui, ça ne fonctionne pas. Et ensuite, dans la configuration, utiliser Hunspell comme completeur par défaut.

Les commandes sont: sudo apk add hunspell-en-us puis sudo apk add hunspell-fr.
Puis un reboot

When going to higher display resolutions in #phosh #stevia's 🎹 can become a bit small to type with (as our ☝️s usually don't adjust to display size). I've thus cooked up an MR that allows to keep the physical size of the OSK constant (in portrait mode for now).

On top of that one can add a "dead zone" at the bottom of the OSK which helps on taller devices like the #OP6 as the 📱 otherwise tends to tilt when typing on the bottom row.

For me this is a typing speed booster.
