Anecdotal observation tonight is that Guelph only has 3-5mm of accretion, half of what was projected. Freezing rain is finicky. But my dad texted me that he just had thunderstorms roll through his area south of London. Looks like this will give us a top up. #ONstorm #onwx

Now there's a signal that Guelph could be an epicentre for more freezing rain on Friday morning. Not putting too much stock into it, as models can change and freezing rain is very hard to predict, but the signal for a double shot (actually double the amount) is there. #ONstorm #onwx

NBM = National Blend of Models, i.e. a model consensus. 10mm of ice aligned along/west of the upper escarpment isn't great news. This is probably what prompted Environment Canada to boost its Yellow Winter Storm Watch to an Orange Freezing Rail Warning across Wellington/Waterloo. #onwx #ONstorm
