Oh, I may have missed that; I didn't see it on the front page when I looked.
Anyway, I think the approach that #Nextcloud has taken against #OnlyOffice is recommended. As I said in my blog post, it does take courage to fork in this situation, but I hope someone will have that courage on all these problematic misuses of the AGPLv3.
I also think we need a better solution in future #copyleft licenses.
I'm sorry to learn about that.
It may not be the exact same situation if they don't withhold a trademark license with it. It's still bad, for sure, as a logo is *not* an “Appropriate Legal Notice”, but what makes #Onlyoffice's behavior particularly egregious is simultaneously demanding preservation of trademark displays while explicitly denying a trademark license to do that.
Is CMDBuild doing that?
Open Letter to the Euro-Office Team
We have published an open letter addressing recent debates around Euro-Office and AGPLv3 licensing:
1️⃣ User-visible attribution: Clear "About" sections to identify #ONLYOFFICE as the original developer and note modifications.
2️⃣ Source code attribution: Retaining copyright/origin notices in the code.
3️⃣ Accurate representation: Avoiding misleading claims and clearly marking derivative works.
