#OnlyOffice, selbst "nur" ein Fork, möchte nicht, dass andere ihre Software forken, Kommentar dazu, warum das ziemlich fishy ist:

"The main problem is that the project abuses interpretation of AGPLv3 license, along with copyright, in a way which essentially prevents the ability for the software to be forked and thrive under alternative authorship, which is an essential part of FOSS."

➡️ 27.03: @nextcloud und IONOS forken #OnlyOffice, EuroOffice entsteht. Mit dabei: XWiki, OpenProject, Proton etc [2].

➡️ 30.03: @ONLYOFFICE wirft #EuroOffice Lizenzverletzung vor und stellt Partnerschaft mit NC ein [3].

The AGPLv3 license on #OnlyOffice’s code allows forks as long as you keep the same license, ship source, and preserve copyright and attribution notices. WTH! So that sounds to me like they are saying you can’t fork us you can just tweak and reship our product. WTF! Either you ship forkable copyleft code that allows changing the product AND its branding or you don’t; you can’t have it both ways. Forking is a normal part of the #OpenSource ecosystem.
