The O'Jays In Philadelphia, released by Neptune Records in 1970.
The O'Jays in Philadelphia Review by Alex Henderson
Contrary to what its title suggests, The O'Jays in Philadelphia isn't a live album. Rather, the title of this studio date refers to the beginning of their association with Philly's R&B scene and producers/songwriters Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff. What they didn't know in 1969 was just how long and fruitful that association would end up being. This album wasn't the major hit that Back Stabbers would be, but not for lack of strong material. From "One Night Affair" to "Let Me in Your World," this superb album is quintessential Philly soul. While Eddie Levert's gospel-influenced belting is as gritty as anything that came from Stax Records, the production is as notably sleek.

Back on Top is the third album by the group the O'Jays released in 1968, featuring their biggest hit for the Bell label, "I'll Be Sweeter Tomorrow (Than I Was Today)". Their hit "Look Over Your Shoulder" was also included on this album. George Kerr produced the album with Pat Jaques engineering. Richard Tee was the conductor and arranger.
Original O'Jays members Eddie Levert, William Powell, Walter Williams and Bobby Massey all contributed to this album, and all four were pictured on its cover. This is the first O'Jays album not to include the group's fifth original member, Bill Isles, who quit the group shortly before this album was recorded. Bobby Massey would also later leave the group, just before their breakthrough success with Philadelphia International Records. - Wikipedia

Soul Sounds by the O'Jays, released in 1967 on Minit
Searing early work by The O'Jays -- sounding quite different here than on their later Philly hits! This early album has the group working in a style that was much more in a rough soul harmony style -- sung with an incredible depth, and recorded with backings that really let the vocals come to the forefront of the tracks! Some of the cuts are in a deep soul mode, others are more upbeat and Northern soul-styled -- but the whole thing's great, and the album's about as classic a set of 60s soul as you can get! Titles include their seminal tracks "Working On Your Love" and "Lipstick Traces", plus "Crack Up Laughing", "A Blowing Wind", "Stand In For Love", "It Won't Hurt", and "Hold On". - Dusty Groove

2 + 2 + 1 = Ponderosa Twins Plus One is the only album by American vocal group Ponderosa Twins Plus One, released in 1971 through Horoscope Records. The album was produced by Bobby Massey of the O'Jays and Michael Burton, a songwriter and producer of All Platinum Records.
AllMusic reviewer Andrew Hamilton compared the production work of Bobby Massey and Michael Burton, stating that "Massey's sides were the most interesting"; "He knew how to record them, Burton saddled them with a tinny, kiddie sound, and a couple of his productions/compositions are far too strident for ears." Hamilton also noted "You Send Me," "Bound," "I Remember You," and "Dad I Love Her" as "album highlights." - Wikipedia
