I go through a jar of chocolate spread just about every month, and if you're like me you probably get really sad when you're almost done with your monthly jar and can't seem to get the last of it out the jar. If you're like me, then I recommend trying out this little treat that I do for myself every month that helps me get the most of the last bits of the stuff out of the jar.
Take a close-to-empty jar of chocolate spread (Nutella if you go for the brand name stuff,) and add some vanilla ice cream to it.
(I've never tried it with other flavours, but I bet there's at least a few that would be good. I'm not going to mess with what I know, though, so you'll have to find that out yourself.)
Put the jar to the side while you prep your pomegranate seeds. If your seeds are frozen, you'll want to zap them for a short time in the microwave, like maybe a minute. You're aiming for slightly above lukewarm temperature, so do it in 15 second bursts until you figure out the right time for your microwave. If they're fresh, you'll want to zap them in the microwave still, but for less time than the frozen ones.
Once you've got your seeds ready, add them to the jar and mix mix mix until things are pretty well incorporated together, and that's it! Boom! Delicious treat, and a great way to use up the last of the chocolate spread.
