As I have my Breakfast in a set of ordinary 'Luminarc' crockery, I can only envy #NurJahan wife of #Mughal ruler #ShahJahan who used to have her meals in the most exquisite crockery and cutlery of her time.

Like this c1600 AD 'Plate' sold by Sotheby's.

The edges have a floral design made of Gold Thread, Rubies, Emeralds and Green Glass inlay.

This Tomb at #Agra #UttarPradesh was built between 1622-28 AD by #Mughal ruler#Jahangir's wife, Queen #NurJahan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. (d. 1622AD).

Made of Marble inlaid with semi-precious stones, this was the first Mughal monument to move away from using only red sandstone.
