It's too bad #NuTrek never got #JohnCarney to do an episode, he's a master at melding romcoms with musicals.
I just shed a little tear because I am going to miss #STProdigy. There were some truly great bits of Trek in there and I like that it kept the original utopian Roddenberrian vision going.
I'd rate it below #StrangeNewWorlds but slightly above #Discovery and way, way, waaaaay above #Picard in terms of #NuTrek
#AllStarTrek I could watch a whole #NuTrek mini-series of Federation archeologists searching for evidence of the lost Voth civilization on Earth, buried during the asteroid blast that ended the Cretaceous period.

The Next Generation movies are sorta similar. The characters are there, but they all act a bit different to their TV counterparts.
I assume this is the case because cinematic movies are a different beast to television and they have to be more... dunno... spectacular and dramatic to succeed?
I kinda feel the same way about #NuTrek as well.
@kcarr2015 Give #StrangeNewWorlds, #LowerDecks, #Prodigy, #Picard, and #TheOrville a good chance. Most #NuTrek has been as good as the 90s even if the seasons are pathetically short. (For real... 20 episodes a year would still avoid Chabon's "filler" nonsense.)
You definitely can skip that terrible hyper-emo fanfic you're watching right now...you won't miss anything relevant to #StarTrek. The humans don't even human in that show.

There are a couple of episodes that try a humanize the ultra fascist Dominion, and this is one of them.
It's too bad we don't learn any more about the cultures living under the Dominion in the Gamma quadrant, just the Cardassians that joined in the Alpha quadrant and started a war, and the Dominion military wing. Missed opportunity, but maybe they show up in some of those #NuTrek shows that I don't keep up with.
