As I understand it, #NuBus cards were originally 9U height, though the PC-like form factor (as used by the Macintosh) was standardized as well.

Since I'll be building every card in my #NuBus system, not trying to interoperate with e.g. Macintosh cards, maybe I'll just use the 74ABT651.
The cards aren't going to be mechanically compatible with other NuBus systems anyhow. I'm using Eurocard 6U height by 340mm depth.

74ALS buffers and transceivers, like the 74ALS651, look like the best choice for #NuBus. That's what Apple used in their NuBus test card design, MCP, etc.
74LS isn't fast enough. 74S looks marginal. 74F might be OK.
74ABT would be great, and the 74ABT651 is still made, but it might actually be too fast, looking at the tPLZ, tPHZ, tPZL, and tPZH times (three-state on and off prop delays). That could result in bus fights in a system with slower transceivers.

I need some Am2901C bit slice data path (ALU, shifter, scratchpad register file) chips. I've got plain and A, but no B or C. The letter suffix denotes successive redesigns which improved the speed. The C version is ECL internally.
I need to get the worst-case cycle time of my design down to 100 ns to match #NuBus.
I may also have to replace the Am2910 sequencer with an Am2910A.
Since it's a #retrocomputing project, I'm deliberately NOT just putting everything in an FPGA.

Zwei Univention-Hoodies haben am Wochenende die Chemnitzer Linux-Tage unsicher gemacht! 🐧😄

Frank und Oliver waren für uns vor Ort. #DigitaleSouveränität war in aller Munde – und es ging weniger um Politik, sondern ganz konkret um die Technik dahinter.

#Kubernetes ist klar auf dem Vormarsch, ein Trend der uns freut, da wir mit #Nubus für Kubernetes eine IAM-Lösung anbieten, die genau darauf setzt.
