For #BlackHistoryMonth I'm introducing African deities in my daily god toots. The rising, peaking, setting, and absence of Ntangu, the #Sun, is essential in #Bakongo religious culture, equating to 4 stages of life: conception, birth, maturity, and death. One day, #Ntangu challenged #Ngonde, the #Moon, to a foot race but Ngonde defeated him. This is why the Moon can be seen during the day but the Sun cannot be seen at night with the Moon.
