Working Boat

Up along the north coast of California is a sleepy little town called Ft. Bragg. Over the years Ft. Bragg has been many things, adapting along the way. Mostly now it is a tourist town where folks walk around and discover the past history of this town including the impact of logging the Redwoods in the area to the North Coast fishing.

Sunken Boat In Noyo Harbor B and W II

I'm not sure why, but old wooden boats fascinate me. I look forward to the future decay of this one as it slowly gives itself back to the earth.
Back when I first saw this boat I saw activity. There was a man walking the deck, I'm guessing that he was preparing for a fishing trip. Sunken Boat In Noyo Harbor II

There is something about old derelict boats that draws me to them. I have a number of images of this boat in my galleries.
The boat sank a few years ago in one of the major storms that hit Northern California. I'm only guessing that the bilge pump was not in working order.
