Mrs Miasma, Mother-in-Law Miasma and I went out for lunch yesterday.

We'd been to this particular restaurant several times before but we noticed they have put in nicer furniture and up-scaled the overall appearance in the interior.

The other thing we noticed was that the check for two cheeseburgers (with fries) and some salmon tacos was now $100.

I think we may have just purchased some of the wall art for their new look. 😲

Tensions are escalating between the United States and Europe after President Trump threatened to impose tariffs on eight European allies that oppose his push to take over Greenland, a semiautonomous territory of Denmark. Thousands took part in protests in Greenland and Denmark over the weekend to oppose Trump’s annexation threats. Julie Rademacher, chair of Uagut, an organization for Greenlanders in Denmark, tells Democracy Now! that Trump’s rhetoric is a threat to everyone. “This is not only Greenland being attacked. This is democracy, freedom and the world order as we know it that’s being attacked.”

@Ramesh #NotGoingBack Yeah, the UN voted. And invaded. Just because the UN is the one doing the invasion doesn't make it not an invasion. Palestinians, however, could not vote. They didn't get the chance to reject anything: What you're seeing now is their only opportunity for rejection of their colonization.

Also, there were nationalist movements in Palestine throughout the interwar period, the same as India.

@Ramesh #NotGoingBack They are, about the same amount as western countries did for Jews during the Holocaust. Literally that's why there are now international refugee laws, because it was recognized that other countries didn't do their part in accepting Jewish refugees. Read a book, dude.

And no, when you plop a million people down on someone's home and tell those native people that they have to leave or be killed, you're starting the war then. The war doesn't start when they inevitably retaliate against your invasion of their home.

She absolutely did. I was outraged to hear her story. Sending my love and strength to her family. Not only did they have the heartbreak of Adriana's tragic sudden death..now they have to deal with the trauma of her being kept alive as an incubator, a very premature baby that may not make it or be severely disabled, and a grieving little boy who thought his mama was asleep. (broke my heart)
We can't let this barbarism go on.
