We're in the big city today to pick up the painting of my book cover. The artist sent me a digital version but the real deal is so much more vibrant. It's gorgeous! 😍 I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out!
I'm halfway done writing my book! It's gotten a lot longer than I expected it to be but I'm pausing here to edit it and, hopefully, trim it down. There's still another half to go after all 😅
I hope it's a fun and worthwhile read. (Please don't judge it by the first page - I haven't touched that one in a while and it's going to change.) This story has lived in my head for a long, long time so I hope it's worth the paper it's printed on!
It's probably a little silly but, since I was using the productivity game, Spirit City, while I was working on my story the last couple of months, I decided to make the characters from the story inside the game. Since I'm not very good at drawing (at least, not realistically), it was nice to be able to use the game to help me visualize all of these doofuses! 😅
Anyway, I thought I would share them with you all. The first four are the four main characters, Marty, Fiona, Neko, and Astrid. There's more info in the alt text if you're curious!

We've been on break all winter but we're getting ready to start up our daily #LittleFreeLibrary posts again in February. We've got tons of new #books, new #movies for the #FreeBlockbuster, and lots of donations for the #LittleFreePantry we put up last year. This year, we plan to add a #FreeLittleArtGallery as our last feature. Our #SilentBookClub has been hit or miss since we're in a #rural town, but the one that our friends run in the nearby city has really taken off!
As for myself, I've still been #writing almost daily. I've got a lot of material ready for my book-thing, #NotAHeroStory! In fact, I'm going to do a big round of #editing soon to trim it down. (If you're curious, it's a #fantasy that doesn't take itself too seriously but involves a lot of #PersonalGrowth and #community building. Plus #beer, #boobs, and #dragons.) I'm hoping to start #publishing it a little later this year!

Things have been a little different lately: for one, I've been #gaming a lot less often and #writing consistently instead. I've got a #fantasy project coming up soon that I'll be posting about here with the hashtag #NotAHeroStory. I'm excited (and nervous) to share it with all of you beautiful people!
Another change is that I haven't been here as often as I'd like lately because it's #LittleFreeLibrary season! With the current climate in #USPol we've decided to get deadly serious about our #LFL this year. We've become an Official #BookCrossing Zone, started a #SilentBookClub, and even (finally) become a PokeStop in #PokemonGo. We've got big plans for #Halloween that we're going to start working on soon...
Otherwise, I'm still into #horror, #metal, and working on getting more #tattoos. Some things never change, after all 😅
