An utterance yesterday used the word "rar" (#Danish: 'comfortable, friendly', #Norwegian 'strange') in a way that is compatible with both the Norwegian and Danish meanings. The formulation was used to describe something obviously negative as "not the most comfortable/strange thing to happen"; something in the context made it not unexpectable, thus making the Norwegian sense relevant too. I guess I should bookmark it...
